The library offers approx. 20 computer workstations for library users on a self-service basis. Both University of Art and Design and Metropolia libraries’ databases and electronic materials are available.

Workstations connected to the University of Art and Design network

Databases and electronic resources offered by the University of Art and Design Library are available on workstations connected to the University network.

The library’s workstations:

8 workstations
- Log in with University of Art and Design username and passwprd.
- No booking or usage time restrictions.
- University of Art and Design students should turn to their department's computer support in any matters concerning University of Art and Design usernames.

7 workstations
- Log in with ARSCA library card.
- No bookings.
- Usage time is one hour at time; maximum daily usage is 4 hours.

4 workstations
- For short-term use (like reading mail).

1 workstation
-For scanning and image editing only.
- Bookings are required and can be made at the library sevice desk, tel. (09) 756 30240.
- Daily maximum usage time is three hours.
- Specification on this workstations is CS-Suite 2.0:Acrobat Professional, Image Ready, PhotoShop 7.0, Illustrator, InDesign and DVD-RW drive.

Workstations connected to the Metropolia network

Databases and electronic resources offered by the Metropolia Library are available on workstations connected to the Metropolia network.

 Databases A-Ö

- 2 workstations available to all library customers without prior appointment.
- 2 workstations that require logging in with Metropolia username.

Wireless network access (University of Art and Design)

The wireless network can be accessed by logging in with a personal University of Art and Design  username, or a visitor username:

A visitor username that is valid for one day, is available form the library’s service desk or from the library’s Systems analyst.

Printouts

The library has photocopiers/ printers for colour, and black and white printouts.
A copy card (Yliopistopaino) is required for printing.
