The library offers approx. 20 computer workstations for library users on a self-service basis. Both  Aalto University and Metropolia libraries’ databases and electronic materials are available.

Workstations connected to the Aalto University network

Databases and electronic resources offered by the University of Art and Design Library are available on workstations connected to the University network.

The library’s workstations:

8 workstations
- Log in with Aalto University username and passwprd.
- No booking or usage time restrictions.
- Aalto University students should turn to the IT Service Desk  in any matters concerning University usernames.

4 workstations
- No bookings.

4 workstations
- For short-term use (like reading mail).

1 workstation
-For scanning and image editing only.
- Bookings are required and can be made at the library sevice desk, tel. (09) 470 30240.
- Daily maximum usage time is three hours.
- Specification on this workstations is Adobe Master Collection CS5  and DVD-RW drive.

Software specification on all workstations:
USB, DVD-R, Konica Minolta all-in-one copiers.

Workstations connected to the Metropolia network

Databases and electronic resources offered by the Metropolia Library are available on workstations connected to the Metropolia network.
 Databases A-Ö

- 1 workstations available to all library customers without prior appointment.
- 3 workstations that require logging in with Metropolia username.

Wireless network access (University of Art and Design)

The wireless network can be accessed by logging in with a personal Aalto University username, or a visitor username:

A visitor username that is valid for one day, is available form the library’s service desk.

Printouts

The library has two all-in-one copiers. A copy card (Aalto Print) is required for printing.
